Opened in summer 2018, the Machrie Hotel provides the newest in luxury accommodation on Islay. Perfectly located (slightly removed from any town on Islay, but easily accessible by car or complimentary airport shuttle) and surrounded by scenic cattle pastures and the iconic Islay peat fields. This hotel also boasts its own golf course and an on-site restaurant. Decorated with modern, Scandinavian-style pastel-coloured furniture, the rooms are bright and airy no matter the weather outdoors. Many of the rooms face either the golf course or the beach and all are fitted with spacious en-suite bathrooms. For those seeking more privacy, four lodges are located on the property. The ultimate accommodation for those wishing to enjoy the countryside while having all the modern conveniences at their fingertips.
