“Live like an Ottoman pasha in this stylish townhouse in the heart of the old town. There's an elegant homely feel with large, high-ceilinged rooms featuring prettily draped four poster beds. With a popular restaurant and friendly staff, this is a lovely place to explore the city from.”

Hotel review

This lovingly restored Ottoman-era townhouse has seven rooms and suites, all with polished wood floors, painted ceilings, and pretty textiles in deep and vivid colours. Breakfast is served in a shaded, flower-filled courtyard where à la carte dinners can also be ordered – a welcome alternative to the many restaurants in the Old Town, some of which are great but too many of which are sadly mundane. Overall, this is a lovely retreat in a fascinating place.

Arguably the most atmospheric of the Old Town’s hotels. Bohemian flair, laughter and warmth run through this former Ottoman official’s residence, creating an atmosphere more akin to a favourite uncle’s house than a boutique b&b.
