Overlooking Chesil Beach near Weymouth on Dorset's Jurassic Coast, Moonfleet Manor offers a stylish yet fun-filled escape for families. There are countless activities and facilities to keep children thoroughly entertained, including the biggest games room we’ve ever witnessed, featuring a play space for pre-schoolers, videos games, pool tables, a football pitch, basketball court and even a climbing wall! And if that’s not enough, there’s a mini golf course, skittle alley, cinema room, playground and indoor swimming pool, as well as an Ofsted-registered ‘Four Bears Den’ Kids’ Club for children aged three months to eight (included with every stay is 90 minutes of complimentary childcare a day to give parents time to relax, perhaps with a spa treatment). NB the spa also offers treatments for children under it's Little Ishga programme
The heart of the hotel is set in a grand manor, featuring numerous inviting lounge spaces where families can enjoy a board game or Dorset cream tea together. Traditional décor such as floor length velvet drapes, elegant fireplaces and cosy armchairs mix with interesting touches like film posters, contemporary art and cabinets of dinosaur fossils and ammonites discovered nearby. The restaurant is understandably a lively place, especially if you dine earlier, but staff do a great job of putting frazzled kids at ease and it’s comforting that everyone is in the same boat.
