Hotel review

Staying here feels like staying with friends. It's an elegant converted olive mill, with origins that date back to the 15th century (although it was rebuilt in the 19th) and large, cool, carefully-furnished rooms. The best have beams and Persian rugs strewn over quarry tiles. Within the 11-acre grounds, there's a pool, poolside restaurant and dining terrace, where first-rate regional cuisine is served. The Anglo-Franco owners are warmly welcoming hosts.
