Posada Borravino is the place to stay for those wanting a quiet base from which to explore Mendoza's wineries. It's a small property located in the town of Chacras de Coria about 20km south of Mendoza (our advice is to hire a car if you want to get out and about - there is no public transport here to speak of), where the emphasis is on relaxation. There are eight rooms, arranged around a central courtyard with swimming pool (available in spring and summer), with a cosy rustic feel - think exposed beams and period furniture. But you'll find all the mod cons you need too, with spacious bathrooms, complimentary toiletries, free wifi...For dining the restaurant serves traditional Argentianian fare accompanied by a wide range of local wine. Posada Borravino is not the place to book if you're looking for a bit of action or buzz, but for those seeking peace and tranquility and a base for exploring the excellent local vineyards, it is ideal.
