“A chic hotel, in the trendy La Latina district of Madrid. Cool contemporary rooms, situated around an inner courtyard, blend modern décor with traditional architecture. A worthy breakfast and a popular restaurant on site, with several restaurants, tapas bars, shops and museums out the front door.”

Hotel review

A great place to stay in a fun and lively neighbourhood of Madrid. This traditional celliones townhouse has 27 rooms over 4 floors around a narrow central atrium. The bedrooms are small and minimalist but deftly designed to incorporate the shower, loo ‘pod’ and basin. Rooms are all individually themed - black and white with vibrant splashes of acrylic pink, for example, and give the compact space a bright modernist feel. Big shuttered windows open onto the street and insulate the noise at night. There is a fun and vibey bar on the ground floor serving sardines, tapas and raciones. It is an easy walk from here to the Plaza Mayor and other famous sites. Recommended for the younger crowd who want a real flavour of Madrid street life. Absolutely excellent home cooked breakfast – hot, fresh and delicious. The restaurant is Michelin recommended.

"This inn in the oldest and most atmospheric part of Madrid is now a chic three-star hotel where contemporary style blends smoothly with traditional architecture. A great on-site tapas bar and an informal vibe make La Posada del Dragón an attractive option if you like places with distinctive character."
