“A traditional Rajput palace just outside Jaipur. Wonderfully romantic rooms and suites, all individually decorated, but each as magical as the next. Terraces, pools, tennis courts, camel safaris, fantastic Rajasthani and European food. Regal and luxurious.”

Hotel Review
A Jaipur gem, Samode Palace has been welcoming old romantics from across the globe for decades. As you ascend its winding driveway you feel as though you're driving through a film set. Probably because it's been one several times. Spacious rooms are decorated with traditional Rajasthani block prints and capacious four-posters. If you're really looking to spoil yourself, upgrade to one of the Palace Suites which include a separate dining room (complete with fireplace), living room, enormous bathrooms with rolltop baths, and the best bit: a private balcony with outdoor hot tub bath.
As well as the usual fair of hearty North Indian dishes, Samode hotels have made a real effort with their menus in recent years, and you'll now find plenty of healthy options on offer. Zucchini ribbons and grilled vegetables for lunch, your choice of salads, gluten-free pastas, and bircher muesli for breakfast. It's all a welcome break from the heavy Mughalai food you'll find at most hotels. If that all sounds too unhealthy then their Kashmiri chilli chocolate fondant is utterly indulgent.
You're almost an hour out of Jaipur, so this is a place to come for relaxation, rather than sightseeing. The famed monkey temple is within walking distance, as is Samode Fort.
