“Exquisite Georgian manor house turned luxury boutique B&B, 5 minutes from the centre of Lancaster. Chic styling and exceptional attention to detail make for a romantic bolthole, a different kind of business crashpad, and the perfect stopover en route north.”

Hotel review

If you’re after a small and stylish place to stay, this five-bedroom B&B run by friendly James Gray, is the place for you. King size beds, 100 % cotton sheets and bathrooms with under-floor heating are all the norm, while room names are quirky and highlight certain aspects. ‘The Nice Bath Room’, ‘The Grand Attic Room’ and ‘James’ Favourite Room’ are just a few, but all are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. Served in the homely dining room, breakfast is a feast with fresh juices, fruit salads, cereals, freshly-baked bread, homemade compôte and granola.... and that’s all before the cooked part, which includes eggs from the hens in the garden and other local ingredients.
