“The King's Arms is a traditional 17th century coaching inn in the heart of the Cotswolds. Stylish rooms with feature walls of George Stubbs paintings, antique furniture, four posters & cosy sheepskin rugs. Or cottages for groups or families. Great British pub food, real ale and excellent value too!”

Hotel review

The Kings Arms is a 17th Century former coaching inn situated on the main Cirencester-Bristol road. It has recently been refurbished to a high standard to provide six bedrooms in the main house (all named after prize winning hounds from the nearby Beaufort Hunt) and two cottages - converted stables in the Car Park - which feature roll top baths and cosy sitting areas with deep leather sofas (one sleeps four, the other sleeps six). Cuisine takes full advantage of game from nearby estates, and is keen to champion as many local suppliers as possible. The menu includes traditional pub dishes like a Pint of Prawns and Fish and Hand Cut Chips, as well as more epicurean items such as Home smoked muntjac or crispy squid. These are accompanied by a good selection of local beers and reasonably priced old and new world wines. Dining areas include the traditional bar, a smart upstairs private dining room for up to 24 guests and the Restaurant. On spring and summer weekends you can enjoy fabulous pizzas cooked in the outdoor wood fired oven. The Kings Arms is a good spot to while away a few days enjoying good food and comfortable accommodation whilst exploring the beauty of the South Cotswolds. And don't forget to bring your four legged friend - they love dogs here and provide beds, treats and even a special doggy beer!
