Hotel Review
Set just outside of Palm Springs, the first-ever Tommy Bahama hotel is much more than an outpost for breezy resort wear from the retailer of the same name. An airy lobby leads to an enchanting courtyard with stately olive trees, fire pits, and pendant lanterns, all set against a majestic desert backdrop. The grounds weave around a central, sleek pool, and a second pool is tucked in the back.
Rooms are impressively renovated with gleaming bathrooms and a strong tropical feel. Expect palm frond decor aplenty, ranging from statement wallpaper to color-coordinated throw pillows. Standard King rooms cover 330 square feet, while upgraded Luxury rooms have one King or two Queens and a generous 400-square-foot floor plan. Splurge on a suite to spread out with separate seating areas and terraces.
Spa Rosa has its own pool, hot tub, and cabanas for those booking desert-inspired treatments, and on-site dining includes Grapefruit Basil with its lush courtyard and boho-glam dining room serving sophisticated fare and cocktails. Or, pluck fruit from the resort’s pick-your-own citrus trees and bring to a juicing station to freshly squeeze.
