The resort also boasts the largest vertical descent in the Pyrenees, at an impressive 1,130 metres. Summer visitors, on the other hand, can tackle myriad challenging hiking trails in the Posets-Maladeta Naural Park, studded with towering mountain peaks. Climb Posets, the second-highest peak in the Pyrenees, from Eriste, or admire the many pristine lakes — called ‘ibóns’ in Aragonese — of the Escarpinosa and Los Ibones areas.
