“A verdant stroll through lime groves to Candolim beach, Aashyana is a blend of French architecture and Indian tradition. With 19 staff for just the main villa alone, guests do not want for anything. The chef cooks homegrown Goan and Western dishes which can be eaten under the stars. Utter bliss.”

Hotel review

Owned by Indian entrepreneur Ajai Lakhanpal and designed by French architects Arvind and Nita d'Souza, Aashyana successfully brings together the best of French contemporary design and Indian authenticity. Meaning 'nest' guests are ensconced in the lap of luxury. Ask anyone, the staff are incredible. Each of the villas and Casinhas come with their own team (the main villa has a team of 19!) and they will know you by name from the first meeting. With large bedrooms decorated in pieces by local artists, outdoor showers and large, breezy living areas guests can take solace in a sense of escape not found in hotels. The main villa, comprised of five bedrooms (each one better than the rest) includes its own pool and private beach access. The casinhas and beach cottages share a stylish 25 metre swimming pool, reached through acres of luscious grounds. There is also an additional property, Villa Venus, just outside the grounds. Not as spacious and airy as the main villa it is very stylish and perfect for smaller families. You are just a short, truly picturesque, walk from Candolim beach and its restaurants and attractions - though the food here, fresh and locally grown, is so good you may not want to venture afar. With a meditation room, yoga classes and two on site masseurs there is no excuse not to relax and unwind entirely during your stay at Aashyana.
