The Almhof gets it exactly right for a luxury chalet. It has the perfect balance of contemporary luxury and hints of traditional Alpine motifs. 18 bedrooms and 35 suites are bright and elegant with light wooden panels and marble bathrooms. Attention to detail is marvellous - lamps made from antlers, oil paintings, faux fireplaces, and huge modern beds. It's very romantic, enhanced by fur throws, candle lit dinners in the restaurant, a luxurious spa, and huge wine cellar. Unsurprisingly, it's very expensive too (though room rates do include half board, child care and use of all spa facilities)!
