A motel steeped in Austin's history, going back to its original form in the 1930's, right through its 1950's roaring success and the 1980's when life in Austin suddenly began to shift. It seems so fitting that the Bunkhouse Group should be the people to bring Austin Motel and its fabulous famous phallic sign into its current reincarnation. They have drawn inspiration for the interiors from its rich history, and juggle the perfect amount of nostalgia and modernity. This is certainly Austin's hippest hotel and the bright young things that make up its regular clientele are testimony to this! We would recommend staying here if you are ready for an experience- those hoping for a lazy weekend should look elsewhere.
