Vounaria is a verdant oasis on the eastern coast of the Peloponnese. The fact that it is located at some distance from the nearest airport means that, even in the summer, the sandy beaches are not overrun with tourists. For those looking to enjoy a more tranquil experience of the southern Greek coast, it is an ideal choice. Camvillia Resort makes the most of this beautiful location; sitting on the site of a former olive grove (now transplanted to the hotel garden), the design of the suites, spa and restaurant threads through the colours of the natural landscape in luxurious soft furnishings. A convenient shuttle bus will run you down to the beach when you are ready; expect to be greeted by unspoiled, fine sand and crystalline waters. The facilities are where the resort clearly earns its five stars. Don't leave without experiencing the spa; there is a hammam, sauna and olive oil treatments, as well as an indoor pool. Enjoy exquisitely fresh seafood at the hotel restaurant by night, with al fresco dining available to complete the experience. An indulgent seaside bolt-hole.
