Casa Milolaza is the perfect option for anyone who wants to visit Dubrnovnik and the surrounding area, but can't bear the thought of the heaving crowds that descend on the city during the season. This family home, in the small fishing village of Mlini, has been converted to provide two smart modern apartments which work for couples, families or small groups of friends (the apartments can be joined together). Both properties are similarly well kitted out, and all modern comforts are catered for - think fully equipped kitchens, dishwashers, smart TVs, air-con and wifi as standard. Kristina has two bedrooms and also has room for a cot, whilst Marin has one double room (again with room for a cot). The decor is classic contemporary with polished wood floors, predominantly white furnishings in the living rooms, unfussy bedrooms and modern shower rooms. But the piece de resistance is the private terrace that each apartment enjoys, with its own outdoor hot tub and views to die for over Mlini Bay! The perfect way to end the day with a glass of something suitably cold. Casa Milolaza is the brainchild of Milan and Trinka who are on hand for any help and advice required (Milan used to be a tour guide so is a fund of useful information and tips); their fantastic service and warm welcome is part of the reason that Casa Milolaza is such a well-loved property. As well as offering local knowlege, Milan is happy to arrange personal tours of the area either by car or boat (which means you get to see the real Croatia away from the crowds). They have created a little hidden gem away from the hordes that crowd into nearby Dubrovnik, yet one from which you can easily explore the city and further afield (Kotor - another mobbed town - is just over the border in Montenegro), plus there's a wealth of beaches nearby and one just 200m down the hill. Last but certainly not least, it's a steal!
