See What They Say
Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Casa Morada offers an intimate relaxing getaway. A special feature of the property is our own private island that is connected by a foot bridge. Here you'll find our pool, gazebo bar for drinks + lunch, games and magazines. The cabana has a large daybed perfect for naps and hiding from the midday sun. The lounge chairs and hammocks with umbrellas offer options for sun or shade throughout the day.
What is there to do in the area or on site?
Our Sol Sister, Skipjack Sailboat, offers a relaxing ride out around the Florida Bay as you catch the sunset. Of course fishing, in the sport fishing capital of the world, is a must-do on many traveller’s lists. The only living coral reef in the United States is a quick boat ride away. If swimming and snorkelling are not your thing, we have land options as well such as museums, dining, shopping. The property bikes are a great way to explore Islamorada’s newest brewery and art galleries.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Our Casa Breakfast offers fresh fruit, assorted bagels, croissants, baked pastries, yogurt, granola, oatmeal, cereal, fresh squeezed orange juice, Starbucks coffee and additional menu items can be ordered such as a Breakfast Panini with ham, fried egg and cheddar cheese.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
Casa Morada lunch menu offers snacks such as a fruit and cheese plate, hummus or a tomato caprese. Our large salads have options such as salmon, prosciutto and tuna. House-made paninis are a Casa favourite and pizzas let the guest design their favourite flavour combinations.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
We have two houses on the property and the Sea View House offers a great view of the Florida Bay. The Shangri La suite with the extra-large sundeck with two chaise loungers and a table and two chairs offers the best view. The garden suites have different options such as jacuzzis or outdoor showers. Our Jungles suite offers a sundeck with two chaise loungers and an in-suite jacuzzi.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
No children under the age of sixteen. Our tranquil setting is for adults only.
What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers?
Our property offers a true getaway. It’s really about re-connecting with your special partner. So whether it’s taking yoga together for the first time or sitting on the hammock watching the sunset, it's really about just being together.
