Hotel Review
Architectually beautiful, a sandstone renovation to a 14th centry castle with sympathetically built annexe rooms, two with their own little swim pools – this hotel is a dream come true. Views over a beautifully designed garden in bloom with paths to meander and a water feature which gently takes your eyes to the long driveway and onto the hills. Castell Son Claret has forty three rooms and suites all of which are tastefully and stylishly decorated with subtle hues and luxurious fittings: think oak floors, marble fittings and sumptuous silk lined bath robes. Some have private terraces, others boast their very own garden. For dining there is the michelin starred Zaranda or if you prefer something slightly less high brow try the Olivera. There is a tennis court and a small gym with techogym equipment and bikes to take and cycle around the surrounding area. The spa comes with an indoor pool, an indoor garden (you have to see it to believe it!) sauna, steam and a wonderful arrary of treatments. Lying by the pool, the only thing to disturb you from your book is an offering by the attentive pool staff every now and then of a fruit shot or home grown apricots and cherries! All delicious! Oh and a cold flannel when the temperatures soar!
