The Chetzeron Hotel is not for the faint-hearted. Only accessible by cable-car, foot or snow-mobile, this designer-focused hotel is one of the rare ski-in/ski-out hotels for people who want a glamourous Alpine living experience without ‘ruffing’ it. Located 2,112 metres above sea-level, all rooms offer excellent views of Cran-Montana and the Valais region (including the Matterhorn and Mount Blanc on clear days). The hotel has an excellent restaurant with a young Argentian chef, Lucia offering upscale Alpine food which is open to non-hotel guests. Her Argentinian roots offer grilled meats seared to perfection on an authentic parrilla and also locally sourced vegetables from the Valais region. There is a heated pool overlooking the mountains, as well as small sauna and steam room. The modern furnishings and high-end design of this former gondola station are exciting for design-loving travelers and worth the stop just to sit and enjoy all that Mother Nature has to offer.
