“Boutique hotel set on a 265-acre vineyard in the picturesque Surrey Hills. Expect bold colours, open bathrooms & fantastic views over the rolling countryside. A fab weekend spot for those interested in food and wine.”

Hotel review

With views of Box Hill and set amongst the vines of England’s largest single estate vineyard lies Denbies Vineyard Hotel, conveniently just a short walk from Dorking station. The traditional farmhouse building remains, with the addition of a newer annex with contemporary bedrooms. The 17 bedrooms have striking vine leaf wallpaper feature walls, Grind coffee machines, comfortable beds, and modern bathrooms, while a wine library is set to open later in 2022; the newest addition to this carbon-neutral hotel. Explore the vineyard with a knowledgeable guide, join a secret walking tour or leisurely train ride, visit the indoor winery or set off along the estate’s seven miles of footpaths on foot or by bike. Wine tastings, food pairings and a choice of restaurants are just some of the options for trying Denbies’ wines. Within the estate, guests can also join physio-led Pilates and yoga classes, take part in an escape room game, relax with a glass in one of the wooden cabanas or, if looking for a change from wine, visit the Surrey Hills Brewery.

One of Britain’s first vineyard hotels. The setting of this boutique property doesn’t disappoint.
