“A true gem in Budapest. A sunny yellow painted building with a popular café and restaurant. Freshly redecorated bedrooms with a fin-de-siècle feel, some with balconies overlooking the square. An utterly charming spot. ”

Hotel review

Another gem. A 1892 yellow painted building with a popular café (tables outside in summer) and restaurant, shaded by a red awning, on the ground floor, and 19 recently refurbished bedrooms above with a fin-de-siècle feel and bathrooms that have either a shower or a claw-foot tub (same price). You’ll also find phone, safe, free wifi internet and free minibar (which is replenished every day!). The best rooms have little balconies overlooking the little square outside. Excellent, helpful service from very friendly staff who will help with car and bicycle hire, tickets for shows and table reservations. Delightful.

The best hotels in Budapest

The most perfect slice of Paris? It might just be right here, in downtown Budapest. The city’s Pest side has a distinct French boulevarded charm, which is amplified in Gerloczy Rooms deLux Cafe & Restaurant...
