Great Fosters has seen a great deal of careful restoration and renovation since it changed hands in 2018. The 43 rooms and suites of this red brick Tudor mansion are spread across the main building (where you’ll find most of the suites), courtyard and cloisters where there are additional rooms and family suites that welcome four-legged friends. Expect the unexpected from contemporary rooms with modern free-standing baths to rooms with more traditional interiors. The 50 acres of stunning grounds and gardens are home to beautiful listed topiary mazes and a walled, heated outdoor swimming pool which is open May to October. Foodies should book a table at The Tudor Pass an intimate, gastronomic restaurant with only seven tables which is open Wednesday - Saturday for both lunch & dinner. The reimagining of an icon, The Tudor Pass is a new chapter in the storied history of this special restaurant, named so to celebrate the unique interactive service style diners can expect – without the noise of an open kitchen - and it is led by Executive Head Chef, Alex Payne. For a more private affair you can book the new wine room which seats up to twelve people making it ideal for small private events. Afternoon Tea is served year-round and can be enjoyed in front of the crackling fire in the Anne Boleyn drawing room during the cooler months or pick a sunny spot in the sculpture-filled garden in the summer. For a charming family friendly stay a stone's throw from London, and just outside Windsor you can't go wrong.
