“A luxurious B&B with wonderful unobstructed views over Lake Wakatipu from four suites, terraces and the hot tub. With a gym, sauna, laundry room and outdoor dining area, this is a lovely spot to relax. A stroll from the bustle of town, well-placed for cycling, hiking and lakeside explorations. ”

Hotel review

Hidden Lodge does understated luxury well. The four suites are clean and deliciously comfortable, with comfy king sized or twin beds (depending on your preference), tiled bathrooms and glorious outdoor decks that allow for a full appreciation of the unobstructed views across Lake Wakatipu. The hosts are fantastic – friendly and eager to impart their local knowledge whilst maintaining a discretion that allows for total privacy when wanted. Relax in the lounge by the open fire (there’s a host of reading material to chose from) or loosen those hard worked muscles in the sauna after a day’s skiing or walking. The location is a little out of town, making it the perfect place to unwind, but it’s probably is best to have a car as a result. There’s also the use of a laundry room and gym, and a scrumptious fresh breakfast every morning.
