This bright, minimalist hotel peppered with some impressive contemporary artworks by leading Majorcan artists offers the best of both worlds. Though tucked away in a quiet corner of the Old Town, commanding great views of Palma Bay, it is just a five-minute walk from the must-see catherdral and the bustle of central Palma. Housed in an impeccably restored 19th century building, it has just 16 rooms and therefore maintains a homely feeling. Rooms are very spacious, and most have a terrace or balcony, however while the beech flooring, exposed wooden beams and plain white walls are anything but gloomy, they may be a bit characterless for some. Breakfast is served on the compact rooftop terrace, while the ground floor restaurant specialises in Mallorcan-inspired dishes. The attractive, cave-like cosy spa has a treatment room, sauna and whirlpool baths.
