“An elegant villa overlooking Lake Garda. Edwardian style rooms with antiques, frescoes, views and all the mod cons. Sun terrace, beach and excellent Italian fare. Exquisite views across the lake, and lots of activities nearby. An understated but very romantic choice for a weekend of exploring. ”

Hotel review

This villa was bought as the Arosio family summer home in 1925. It still retains the charm of a family owned hotel, but updated to the 21st century. The original piano room is a treat. Rooms are delightful, filled with frescoes, antique furniture and Edwardian bathrooms to match. Most, though not all, have views over the Lake. There is a small beach for easy access to the lake or swim directly from the hotel, platform and ladder. The restaurant situated on the first floor with enchanting views over the lake is busy and vibrant with guests happily lingering over their coffee and digestif while the sun goes down and the lights begin to twinkle. Olive and lemon trees surround the property, giving a sense of privacy in the afternoon sun. Not to be missed is the weekly guided walk that they organise. This takes you through the historic town of Gargnano and ends up in their own Limonaia (lemon garden) - the Fondo Crocefisso - where they grow a selection of lemons, vines and olives and where you can smell and taste their wonderful home-grown produce. A quiet, friendly and charming hotel, ideal for a few days or even a week long holiday exploring Lake Garda and surrounding region. Sister hotel to Hotel du Lac.
