Hotel Review
A half-hour drive from Valencia and connected to the city by train, Riba-roja's main claim to fame is the relatively recent discovery of several Visigoth archaeological sites – including the Palace of Pla de Nadal, now a museum. Hotel Muralleta sits close to the banks of the River Túria, which also gives its name to the surrounding El Túria Natural Park.
Guests are greeted in a spacious, design-forward lobby, smattered with nature-focused prints, smart lounging chairs and coffee table books. Though somewhat simpler, the rooms are thoughtfully prepared, featuring pale exposed brickwork and comfortable beds, shuttered windows and mini-fridges – plus tubs and toiletries in the bathrooms.
The breakfast buffet is served in a dining room with lovely views over the surrounding landscape, and might feature anything from fresh fruit to a home-cooked tortilla omelette
