Hotel Review
Greek ambiance and liberal helpings of home-cooked local food are the plus points of this quirky six room guesthouse in Rhodes’ new town, and just round the corner from the Casino. The owner is an avid collector and there are antiques everywhere, even in the spacious rooms, grouped around a plant-filled interior courtyard, which have flowery carpets, chintzy bedspreads, cement-sealed showers and basins crafted from wine tubs. Coco-mat bedding and sofas with plenty of cushions ensure comfort. Larger rooms have balconies with views of the lively surrounding streets. Hearty homely food is competitively priced and locals fill the cosy taverna and outside terrace most nights.
