“Stylish and attractive villas make up this charming and elegant resort in one of Palm Springs' most trendy neighbourhoods. Boasting a cool and cultured Mediterranean restaurant, a serene massage and skin treatment spa, and a year-round outdoor pool; the resort is ideal for a sunny couples retreat.”

Hotel review

A short walk from Palm Springs’ energetic and cosmopolitan city centre, the La Serena Villas are an oasis of calm and tranquillity, ideally oriented for sun drenched relaxation. An adults-only collection of 18 private villas, in the traditional Spanish style, white against the backdrop of the San Jacinto mountains, featuring an outdoor pool and attractive geometric textiles and tiles throughout.

Dining comes in the form of the Azúcar, a vibrant and modern Mediterranean style restaurant, serving lunch and dinner in a stylish, adult-only setting. The menu is well priced and full of vibrant vegetable flavours, salsas and cheeses. The swordfish tacos, featuring cojuta cheese and avocado crema is an appetising choice.

The villas hold comfortable, well proportioned, dog-friendly rooms, boasting fabrics and furnishings hand-picked by the Avenue Interior Design Group and are available with a range of patios, bathtubs and fire-pits. The resort also features a rooftop terrace with excellent views over the surrounding countryside and a comfortable outdoor communal area, ideal for an evenings lounging by the fire.

The resort also boasts Whispers Spa, offering custom facials, skin treatments, and a range of massages, including hot stone massage and couples treatments.

La Serena Villas

The owner of the nearby mid-century gem Del Marcos Hotel has transformed the former 1933 Hispanic Hotel into an intimate boutique hotel and spa of 18 white ‘casitas’ (villas) with outdoor baths and firepits. A boho-luxe Californian-chic style abounds: think Mexican chairs, Moroccan poufs and desert sheepskins
