As one of the most arid places on earth, the Atacama Desert might not initially strike you as a prime holiday destination, but the traditional town of San Pedro de Atacama has been attracting increasing numbers of visitors over the past decade, offering the opportunity to experience the unique desert landscape and the indigenous cultures that coexist alongside it. Boutique Chilean hotel brand Noi has pitched Casa Atacama perfectly, exhibiting the best of San Pedro's culture and ambience with an added luxury finish. The one-storey hotel building blends into the surrounding landscape and was built from local stone that mirrors the rich colours of the desert. In addition to the guestrooms, the hotel complex includes an outdoor swimming pool, a modest-sized spa plus a terrace bar and restaurant. Guestrooms are comfortable and homely, with plush throws inspired by indigenous textiles and 400-thread count Egyptian cotton sheets.
