“A decadent hotel set directly opposite the Royal Opera Theatre in buzzy Covent Garden. Sophisticated interiors are designed with a modern take on traditional style. Large sash windows, heavy fabrics, and modern art make it feel oh-so-chic. A noteworthy restaurant and hip bar complete the picture.”

Hotel Review

Opened to great acclaim in the spring of 2021 as Europe’s first NoMad hotel - this property doesn't disappoint. On entrance, the feel is that of a hip private club with its vast chandelier and gold-leaf-panelled reception desk. The theme continues within, with interiors that are all velvet and leather, marble and dark wood. The historic Magistrates’ Court where many a British celebrity was tried is now the ballroom and there’s a wonderful three-room library exclusively for guests (perfect for pre-theatre tipples). The rooms have eclectic artwork and décor with parquet floors, Murano chandeliers, and decadent marble bathrooms.

The hotel’s centrepiece is the NoMad Restaurant (aka The Atrium) resembling a Moroccan riad with two-columned tiers and two central rows of chartreuse banquettes. The Fireplace is a snug enclave with gorgeous ornate hand-made wallpaper while the Side Hustle has a lively, buzzy vibe serving Mexican food and mezcal cocktails. Clearly aimed at adults the hotel is ideal not just for opera and ballet buffs but for London’s theatre-goers generally and for shoppers (it’s right by the boutiques of Covent Garden). A standout city stay.

NoMad London

Europe’s first NoMad hotel, set in the centre of Covent Garden, makes an immediate impact with its unabashedly dramatic and decadent design and upbeat hedonistic streak. With its buzzy eponymous restaurant the hotel’s beating heart, this is a property that positively encourages its patrons to eat, drink and be merry.
