“An iconic luxury hotel standing tall in an enviably central location. Rooms boast fabulous views (best enjoyed from the bathtub). A choice selection of restaurants, bars and a spoiling spa make it hardly necessary to step outside. However, once torn away, find yourself in the swankiest of districts.”

Palace Hotel Tokyo

A historic, luxury hotel overlooking the Imperial Palace moat in the heart of Tokyo. Spacious south-facing rooms look out over the palace gardens with a line of futuristic skyscrapers in the distance. Don’t miss Wadakura, a network of intimate Japanese food spaces, and the Grand Kitchen for an epic breakfast.

Palace Hotel Tokyo

An iconic sixties hotel buffed by a three-year restoration, in the tony Marunouchi district. The 290-room granite-and-glass structure peers over the moats of the Imperial Palace. Magisterial on the outside, with grand interiors (double-high ceilings, double-wide walkways) and a palette inspired by a spring kimono (the plush lobby carpet is a soft pistachio).
