A lovingly restored aristocratic mansion and nine suite guesthouse is set in the quiet coastal village of Gagliano del Capo. The interiors have been entirely reworked, culminating in a heady mix of original features and cool minimalist style. The vibe is of a stylish patrician home.

Original frescos coexist with linens from Marrakesh, pots from Japan, modern art installations and the owner’s striking contemporary collection. The suites are all unique, boasting period features (mosaic floors, frescoed ceilings), carefully chosen art, and fine fabrics - palatial and monastic at the same time. There’s a 12m sunken swimming pool in the garden and a small spa. Homemade regional breakfasts are divine.
