Hotel Review
Saint Peter's Bay resort comprises magnificent villas overlooking its lush gardens and lagoon style pools, with the Platinum Coast beyond. The one, two and three bedroom villas are open plan, and all boast extremely high quality specifications including fully equipped kitchens and living areas. Each en-suite bedroom is spacious and luxurious, with extremely comfortable beds! The bathrooms continue the luxury theme with both separate shower and large hot tub baths. All the villas also have substantial terraces, complete with al fresco dining areas, a hot tub and breathtaking sea views. On site there are so many facilities that no-one will be bored. There is a range of free water sports on the white sandy beach, plus a fully equipped fitness centre (with personal trainer), yoga, pilates and much more. Or if you prefer things a little quieter, then stay poolside or head for a relaxing treatment at the Sandbox Tree Spa at sister resort Port Ferdinand. Food wise there are options for all. The Gazebo Bar & Grill delivers a casual vibe; offering delicious, fresh salads, fish and burgers. For more refined dining, take the water taxi to the hotel’s sister resort, Port Ferdinand, where you can enjoy bistro style dishes at Dockside at 13˚/59˚ Restaurant and Bar Lounge or enjoy an afternoon cocktail and light bite at The Quarterdeck Bar & Pizzeria. It's not small and intimate, but St Peter's Bay has something that will satisfy all ages. For a family friendly resort with flexible accommodation and great facilities, it's hard to beat.

Why do people love staying in your hotel?
Saint Peter’s Bay is a place where luxury meets soul. Our guests love the combination of a self-contained home with extensive amenities and first class service that you’d expect in a five star hotel, so they can be as active or relaxed as they want. The resort has just 57 homes, so it is intimate and private. It is in a beautiful beachfront setting in a great location on the beautiful and unspoilt St. Peter coastline in the north-west of Barbados.
What is there to do in the area?
There are all sorts of attractions and activities available, both on and off resort. Our dedicated concierge service will consider what combination of guests are staying at the resort and will tailor activities accordingly – for example, booking restaurant and boat trips for couples or groups, organising football on the beach, swimming with turtles, or snorkel trips for active teenagers and sandcastle building and fishing for younger children. A free boat trip to swim with the turtles is a huge hit and is available for every guest.
What kind of breakfast do you offer?
Two types of breakfast options are served at the Gazebo bar, which are both a la carte. There is a breakfast package for US $22.00, which is half price for kids under 10 years old and a full breakfast menu which includes everything from continental treats to a full English (or Caribbean) Breakfast. Guests can have room service breakfast for an extra delivery charge of US $10.00.
Do you offer other meals? And can you recommend good places to eat out locally?
We have a variety of restaurants, so in addition to the Gazebo Bar and Grill at Saint Peter’s Bay, which serves light meals, guests can take the free water taxi to sister resort Port Ferdinand, where they can visit pool island in the centre of the marina to eat at the Quarterdeck bar and pizzeria, which offers light lunches, snacks and cocktails, or they can enjoy a three course meal at the bistro Dockside at 13˚/59˚.
In particular, a big hit with guests is having a private chef to cook delicious Barbadian meals for them in the comfort of their own villa, which can be booked through the concierge team.
Which are your most popular room types, and why?
All our homes are popular as they have spectacular sea views with hot tubs on the terrace. A major advantage is that two homes can be booked right next door to each other, that can be adjoined via the balcony, which is a perfect solution for larger families or groups of friends holidaying together. In addition there is a 5 bedroom penthouse, sleeping 10 people which has a 974 sq. ft. private roof terrace with a private pool and additional dining and barbecue area serviced by a dumb waiter from the main kitchen below. This is a perfect spot to enjoy an evening meal while watching a tropical sunset.
What facilities do you have for children and can you fit extra beds in your rooms ?
We have a kids programme of activities which can include treasure hunts, beach football, sandcastle competitions, or snorkel trips. Children can also take advantage of the free non motorised water sports on offer, including SUP and kayaks, or the water playground area at Port Ferdinand which has a trampoline, launch pad, slide and more. There are also additional activities and trips for all the family, including banana or donut boat rides, wave runners, waterskiing and deep sea fishing.
An extra bed can be provided in a home at an additional charge and in some homes two extra twin beds can be accommodated.
