“This iconic neo-classical building oozes glamour in the beating heart of Istanbul’s captivating Old Town. The light and airy rooms feature a blend of contemporary design with ancient artefacts. There's a restaurant, cocktail bar and terrace. A Turkish delight tucked away from the hustle and bustle.”

A tale of two cities: a thrilling trip to Istanbul

Istanbul was the centre of world trade for centuries, and attracted cultures and traditions that were absorbed and then passed on. Now it’s a vast city of more than 16 million people, and each district is distinct; one street Muslim, the next Jewish, then Armenian, Kurdish; some are conservative, others liberal. And in return it welcomed the architecture of Europe — neoclassical and baroque mixes with Arabic and art nouveau, sometimes in the same building. Inevitably, the food is just as eclectic.
