“Unusual and massive Georgian country house hotel and sporting estate, popular for weddings and corporate events. Plenty of activities for the active, including golf.”

Hotel review

We like Stapleford Park despite a few oddities. Rooms are named after different old school interior designers (does anyone remember David Hicks?), and the hotel can seem eerily empty, the public spaces are so large. But beautiful grounds, landscaped by Capability Brown, and plenty of outdoor activities - including archery, its own 18 hole golf course, falconery and a good spa and pool - make this a place you can stay and unwind. Need to avoid weddings and functions though, unless you are planning one.
