If you’re a foodie at heart, this charming spot is perfect for you. The Angel excels, with a friendly and efficient team of staff, at creating an atmosphere where dining takes centre stage, with the overnight stay serving as a wonderful, cosy bonus. The menu is a seasonal celebration of Suffolk’s finest produce, from local game to freshly caught seafood, and the dishes are plated with the kind of artistry that makes you pause before diving in. The interiors are a blend of warm wood beams, atmospheric lighting, and inviting fireplaces—ideal for leisurely lunches or intimate dinners.

Upstairs, the rooms, named after local Suffolk villages, maintain a boutique feel with thoughtful touches (Nespresso machine and lavender shortbread), yet they’re intentionally understated, ensuring that the dining experience remains the focal point. Bathrooms are compact, not spacious, with shower over baths, walk-in showers and a couple with both.
