This delightful Heritage property, built by textile tycoon Sheth Mangaldas Girdhardas in the 1920s mixes nostalgia with all modern conveniences. The 14 bedrooms are spacious with dark furniture and mosquito nets over the beds (no need, but they look the part) and artefacts and family photographs which keep the past alive. Some have balconies, but the traffic outside is busy. Excellent Agashiye rooftop thali restaurant, and the ground floor Green House (outside and a/c sections) which is open all day. A gym and beautiful pool are new additions.
