“Stylish hotel with a touch of the avant garde in the trendy Lower East Side. Large casement windows flood natural light into the rooms furnished with vintage items such as handmade silk rugs and Moroccan lamps. It also features a trellised garden bar, cosy lounge and authentic French bistro.”

The Ludlow: Review

This Lower East Side debut for hipster hotelier Sean MacPherson and partners is set in reclaimed and abandoned red brick building around the corner from the iconic Katz’s Deli. The 184 rooms range from tiny 195 sq ft pods to spacious to 1,000 sq ft loft-style suites, most with dark-stained hardwood floors and white ceilings with exposed wood beams. Enjoy hand-crafted cocktails such as the Ludlow Gimlet in the popular Lobby Bar & Garden, and sample steak frites and red wine in Parisian-inspired ground-floor bistro, Dirty French.

The Ludlow: Review

Inside The Ludlow, you won't hear a thing (unless you're hanging out on your private terrace ). And the hotel's own bar, with an understated 1930s glamour, provides a calmer drinking experience. It is dimly lit and has bulbous leather couches, snakeskin stools, fluffy sofas, and a peaceful patio out back. The restaurant, Dirty French, the latest offering from the Major Food Group, promises a New York twist on classic French cuisine.
