“This 18th century former Dutch residence has a reputation in town for all the right reasons. Boasting colonial architecture and works of art, rooms are decorated in comforting palettes of yellows and turquoise. The restaurant is famed for its fusion cuisine and the spa for its excellent treatments. ”

Hotel Review
It came as no surprise to find out that Joerg Drechsel, owner of Malabar House, was an antiques dealer. The entire property is filled with them - from the beds to the walls, living areas and dining. An art enthusiast the property serves as something of a gallery for contemporary local artists and Joerg prides himself in his collection. Each of this property's 17 rooms is different. All divine and of an excellent size the five Roof Garden Suites are particularly palatial as is the two-story Malabar Suite. The restaurant serves traditional South Indian flavours and Mediterranean dishes and is renowned in the area. Grab a front row table on evening by the tabla-and-sitar players or a romantic nook next to the pool. Spa enthusiasts will appreciate the authentic Ayurvedic spa. An all encompassing stay.
