“A 2011 refurbishment of a small country house hotel on the Burghley House Estate, close to the A1. Shabby chic grafted onto good food and new, young staff. Cosy and quirky.”

Hotel review

A blend of 'blend of quirkiness and splendour', with cosy bedrooms kitted out by an interior designer with an eclectic mix of styles but with an eye to comfort. The best of them have walk in showers and deep roll top baths. Some visitors have complained of noise in some rooms, so check you get the one you want. The hotel belongs to a small but promising group. Food is well reviewed.
