That’s certainly the case at Villa Brown, the former home of a leading doctor and socialite in early 20th-century Jerusalem. The hotel melds the traditional aesthetic of its creamy Jerusalem stone walls with flamboyant, Ottoman-inspired design touches that include jewel-colored velvet armchairs and gold chandeliers. Grab a cocktail at the hotel’s Cave Bar then head straight to the third floor for an unforgettable soak in the rooftop hot tub.
