In a quiet street in the old town, this handsome villa with its cool, contemporary interiors, ticks all the boxes for a calm relaxed vibe and an understated designer style. Rooms are crisp with white walls, pale wood floors and minimalist furnishings in a monochrome grey, white and black palette. A bold geometric-patterned wallpaper or funky patchwork chair add splashes of fun while bathrooms are sleek and modern. Two rooms have direct access to the garden, and its circular dipping pool. The lounge-bar and breakfast room are similarly styled. Breakfast is a generous feast including fresh fruit salad, Greek yoghurt, pastries as well as a selection of cooked items. If it’s sunny, pile up your tray and take it out to one of the garden tables. There are free bicycles to borrow, too. Plenty of restaurants are within a 10-minute walk; one of our favourites is O Pescador, a well-established seafood restaurant with an excellent wine list.
