A ten minute walk from the beautiful centre, Villa Victor Louis, named after the architect who designed the renowned Grand Théâtre of Bordeaux, is situated on a quiet, pretty street. The villa itself, an 18 century townhouse, has been elegantly restored and offers a peek at the ornate past of Bordeaux. This small hotel offers a mix of bedrooms, suites and apartments and breakfast is served in a bright, sunny room overlooking the small garden. Secure underground parking is just a short walk from the premises. Although no evening meals are served, there are numerous excellent restaurants in the surrounding area. Should you not want to venture out at all, a simple fare of bread, ham and cheese are on offer, and of course a glass of claret. Your spirits will be lifted by the welcome you receive from the young owner. Highly recommended.

"La Villa Victor Louis is a lovingly and lavishly restored 18th-century townhouse offering high-end bed and breakfast, and apartments. Come here for an authentic taste of Bordeaux’s gilded age, when the philosophers Montesquieu and Montaigne paced the illustrious city’s silk-lined salons."
