Shinier than the rest of Cuffe Parade's tower blocks, which overlook crumbling colonial facades, Vivanta by Taj President enjoys a prime spot. A popular choice, in a popular location. Within walking distance of touristy Colaba and a just a ten minute taxi ride from the museums and galleries of Churchgate. It houses several top class restaurants, notably Konkan Café which serves up whimsically presented South Indian dishes, and WInk, Mumbai's hottest new watering hole. Breakfast is a culinary tour around the globe - far from your usual continental. Rooms are decorated in a simple yet classic style with large windows providing harbour views. They feature marble clad bathrooms and power showers. Whilst some of the exteriors are looking a little dated, the pool is still a pleasant spot to spend an afternoon recumbent and the wellness centre, including gym and spa, is equipped with all the latest mod cons. Treat yourself at the Taj's signature JIVA spa. A world-renowned chain with the services to match.
