Set between Nozawa Onsen and Myoko Kogen, Madarao is a little mountain resort town in Japan's Nagano Prefecture. Neighbouring Tangram is also great for skiing and snowboarding, whilst Snowmobile Land invites travellers to enjoy adrenaline-fuelled snowmobile or snow rafting excursions.

Travel Information

• Fly to Tokyo's Haneda International Airport or to Narita International Airport and travel to Madarao by train via Nagano Station. The journey should take just over 2.5 hours by rail.
