Hotel Review
With the shores of Loch Linnhe right opposite the hotel and the pretty village of Port Appin, Airds has one of the nicest locations of any hotel in Scotland. The former 18th century ferry inn now has 11 luxurious bedrooms and suites, most facing the loch with the mountains behind. The hotel also has a self-catering cottage. Décor throughout the hotel is full of character and relaxed with Designer Guild wallpaper, Bulgari toiletries and Frette bed linen. The Head Chef's menus serve local ingredients cooked with skill and passion, complemented by an impressive wine list. A great place to see sunsets. There is also a self-catering cottage, which can sleep up to 5 guests

See What They Say
Why do people love staying in your hotel? Guests come for the pure relaxation of Airds and the guarantee of superb food. With only 11 bedrooms and Suites the service is personal and attentive without being overly formal and when guests return time and time again it is like welcoming back friends. Being only 2 hours north of Glasgow and 3 hours north of Edinburgh it is a great place to escape for the weekend. What is there to do in the area? There are so many fantastic walks from right outside the hotel without the need to get back in the car. The island of Lismore is a great day out with a passenger/bike ferry running from just the bottom of the lane. It is a great place to take a bike and packed lunch for the day and really escape. Horse riding and boating are also available for the active, but for those who just wish to relax then enjoy a good book in the lounge next to the roaring fire. What kind of breakfast do you offer? Full Scottish breakfast is served together with many other superb dishes, such as freshly caught kippers, eggs benedict, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs and many more to choose from. Do you offer other meals and can you recommend good places to eat out locally? Given that dining is such an important part of staying at Airds, all our rates are inclusive of dinner, We also serve morning coffee, lunch with such items as a seafood platter, and also full afternoon tea with or without the champagne! For those who wish to venture out for lunch then we recommend either Piazza (Italian) or Eeusk (Seafood) in Oban and both have fantastic views. Which are the most popular room types and why? Our Loch view rooms are the most popular purely because of that fantastic view! What message would you like to give Hotel Guru readers? Come to Airds and we will ensure you have a relaxing stay with fabulous food and attentive but friendly service.
