Formerly known as 'The Riot Hyatt" this property has changed a fair amount since its days as a Hyatt Hotel, at the centre of Hollywood's Rock & Roll district. Just a few doors down from Chateau Marmont and The Comedy Store it is in an iconic part of town. More refined today, you'll seldom witness TVs being thrown off balconies. As with all Andaz properties, the decor reflects the area in which it is located - and in West Hollywood it has a lot to draw from. Photography and artwork of its former, musical legends adorn the walls, alongside larger than life wing murals by LA artist Colette Miller. The hotel's restaurant is named RH (after its riot Hyatt days) and serves up a sophisticated menu with an impressive array of wines. Head Chef, Gemma Gray has created an ever changing menu utilising the freshest, seasonal ingredients. Upstairs there is a fabulous rooftop pool, accessible only by guests, and with fabulous views of West Hollywood and some of its mansion houses. There is also a small but well equipped 24 hour gym. As with all Andaz properties there is complimentary tea, coffee and snacks throughout the day as well as Happy Hour drinks in the evening. A great little treat. The rooms themselves are more minimalist and modern with vibrant colour pops. The Hollywood Hills view suites are the ones to go for. although all suites, bar the lowest floors enjoy fabulous vistas. Rooms include huge flatscreen TVs and inclusive minibars. Most rooms have interconnecting options making it popular amongst families and there are several suites fitted for disability access. Pets are allowed too!
