Ayii Anargyri’s mineral springs have been famed for their healing properties since the 17th century, but this resort adds a very modern twist. It’s a stone-built village of traditional-style stone buildings surrounding a large open-air pool. Inside, there’s plenty of exposed wood and fresh white linen, warm indoor pools are fed by natural mineral-rich springs and the spa offers a range of massages, physio, fitness and beauty treatments. Two restaurants provide elegant indoor and outdoor dining; there’s a Turkish-style hamam; and you can even tie the wedding knot in an attractive traditional chapel. This is such a comfortable cocoon that you may not want to tear yourself away, but if your feet grow itchy, Paphos is not far and the Polis beaches are only 20 minutes away.
