“The Old Coaching Inn on the Ripley Castle Estate offers an elegant, intimate stay with classic rooms filled with antiques and paintings. Both formal and bistro dining is popular with guests and the locals. Visit nearby Harrogate, explore the Yorkshire Dales and the 14th Century castle. ”

Hotel review

Seascapes and ancestors share the walls in the warm public rooms of Sir Thomas and Lady Ingilby's Ripley inn, a thriving establishment with an attentive staff. Bedrooms are split between the inn, around the cobbled courtyard (where they are lighter and more modern) and peaceful Birchwood House, across the road. All have fresh flowers, immaculate bathrooms and careful decoration. For meals, choose between the restaurant and bistro, where many of the ingredients are sourced from the estate.
