Set in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy, an hour’s drive from Bologna, Borgo Condé Wine Resort boasts a gorgeous setting on a hill amongst the vines and olive trees, with sublime views. It caters especially well to couples or small groups of friends looking to relax and enjoy a slower pace of life. The accommodation features comfortable beds and crisp white sheets, quaint blue window shutters and traditional furnishings. There are also a number of beautiful villas dotted around the resort - some with private pools - that are fabulous for groups and those looking for more privacy. The chic, modern spa is one of the resort’s highlights, with a serene heated indoor and outdoor pool overlooking the splendid vines. There’s a sauna and steam room too, as well as an array of treatment options. The organic wine - grown and bottled onsite - is superb quality and guests can enjoy a guided tour of the vines and wine cellars, including tastings.The resort has three restaurants, including the year-round Osteria which is excellent. The service is efficient, and you can soak up the surrounding countryside while tucking into mouth-watering local cuisine, including homemade pasta and the finest olive oil made from the resort’s olive trees. Other activities available to guests include cooking classes, horse riding and cycling, as well as numerous excursions.
